The Teamsters welcome the federal government's announcement that it is adjusting the pandemic support programs for workers. During the press conference with Prime Minister Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Freeland, we learned that the program will be extended to workers who are still suffering the full impact of the pandemic, particularly in the hotel and restaurant sector.
Teamsters File a Second Application for Certification at Amazon in Canada
Today, Teamsters Local Union 987 filed an application for certification to represent workers at Amazon's YYC 1 fulfillment centre, located near the Calgary airport.
Strike Imminent at Autobus Rive-Sud
