Teamsters Local Union 855 Ratifies Collective Agreements with PAL Airlines

Teamsters Local Union 855 announces the ratification of two collective agreements with PAL Airlines, representing the Airlines’ Customer Service Agents, as well as the Ground, Cargo and Commissary personnel respectively.

Greed and Mismanagement in the Rural Municipality of Sherwood

Four office workers at the Rural Municipality of Sherwood have been on strike for over six weeks. The dispute is over the roughly $10,000 it would cost to give the small staff a 2% raise in 2019 and 2020. The RM is resisting and has opted to pay a consultant $45,467 since 2018 to try to negotiate a two-year wage freeze and manage the RM’s labour relations.

FATAL ACCIDENT AT CN RAIL IN EDMUNDSTON, NB

A Canadian National (CN) worker died following a workplace accident this morning in Edmundston, New Brunswick. The victim was a 33-year-old father of two and a member of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC). He started working at CN in September as a conductor/foreman trainee. His name is not being released at this time.
