The final offer from UPS has been ratified by 60.8% of Teamster members who voted.

UPS Canada Negotiations Update #9 (voting extended)

It has come to our attention that, due to postal delays, several members still have not received their voting package with instructions on how to cast their ballot. Therefore, we are extending the deadline to vote to Friday, November 6 at 10:30 am ET to ensure all members can make their voices heard. Results will be announced on the same day.

Negotiations to renew your collective agreement concluded today with the company making a final offer. This comes after seven consecutive days of intense talks in Toronto, from Sunday, September 13 to Saturday, September 19.

Your negotiating committee met August 10 through August 14 in Ottawa. We were assisted by a mediator appointed by the federal government as referenced in our last update.

UPS Canada Negotiations Update #4

The negotiating committee met July 13 though July 17 in Quebec City. We broke into subcommittees; one group to deal with proposals related to hours of work and another to deal with proposals related to feeder drivers, mechanics, subcontracting and Appendix B. This was done to speed up the process, better define the issues at hand and explain ourselves more clearly.

The negotiating committee met June 22 through June 25 in Vancouver. We were able to get through all proposals with supporting arguments and settled some minor issues.
