Sisters and brothers,
With pandemic restrictions on travel and gatherings being relaxed across the country, we are pleased to announce that negotiations with UPS Canada are set to begin.
The first formal round of bargaining will take place from June 22 to June 25 in Vancouver. Local unions or members of the bargaining committee still unable to travel will take part in the talks via videoconferencing.
We will be scheduling additional rounds across the country this summer as more and more provinces lift restrictions.
Remember that our collective agreement with UPS Canada expires on July 31, 2020. It will remain in force under the conditions set out in the Canada Labour Code even if negotiations are not completed by then.
More updates on UPS negotiations will be posted on teamsters.ca over the coming weeks.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local union.
In solidarity,
Richard Eichel, Director, Parcel Division, Teamsters Canada
François Laporte, President, Teamsters Canada
