Vancouver, November 15, 2021 — After nine hard weeks on the picket line, our Sisters and Brothers at Beachcomber Hot Tubs ratified their best contract in history by 93% in favour after reaching a 4-year agreement with a $1 per year increase including 10 cents more per year into the Teamsters National Pension Plan.

“What a proud moment for our Sisters and Brothers at Beachcomber Hot Tubs and Teamsters, Local Union No. 31,” stated President Stan Hennessy.

At the commencement of the strike, President Stan Hennessy assumed the chair in collective bargaining. He was supported by Business Agents Duane Bryan, Paul Simms and Mike Hennessy and the elected committee member J.T. Bains.

“Local Union 31 members showed heart and determination, and with the leadership of President Stan Hennessy, the Teamsters won the strike!” stated Business Agent Duane Bryan.

The local union is also thankful for the assistance of Mediator Dave Schaub and the various unions and media which came out and supported the picketers on the picket line.

One hundred members at Beachcomber Hot Tubs produce world-class hot tubs from its manufacturing plant in Surrey, BC. The union-made hot tubs are distributed worldwide.
