Course Prerequisite: Participants must have attended The Heart of the Union: Shop Steward at work training course and have at least three (3) years of experience as shop stewards.
Description: This course is designed for experienced shop stewards and business agents.
This course develops the shop steward’s capabilities and skills to analyze and interpret his-her collective agreement. More specifically to:
- Define what is a collective agreement;
- Understand the various rules to properly interpret an ambiguous section;
- Understand the Estoppel theory.
