I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Brother Jonathan Ferris, who tragically died in a car crash on February 13 at the age of 42, while on his way home from his night shift at GardaWorld Cash.

He is survived by his wife Victoria, who is also a GardaWorld Cash employee and a Teamster, and his four children, three boys and one girl ranging in age from 5 to 16 years.

Jonathan became a part of the GardaWorld Cash team in Saint John, New Brunswick, back in 2021. From the very beginning, his enthusiasm for his role was evident. He consistently exhibited a remarkable level of dedication and excellence in his work. His respect and friendship were valued by many of his colleagues.

To honour Jonathan’s memory, I invite you to share your stories and condolences, which can be a source of comfort to those who are mourning.

On behalf of Teamsters Canada and all its members, I wish to extend our most heartfelt condolences to Jonathan’s friends, family, colleagues, and all who are affected by this tremendous loss. We stand together in this time of grief, offering our support to his family during this difficult time.
