The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) is proud to announce a new three-year agreement with VIA Rail.
An agreement with the company was initially ratified by members in February 2023, with wage and pension issues slated for arbitration. That arbitration process has now concluded.
“This agreement moves the needle forward on important issues, including monetary and work-life balance issues,” said the president of the TCRC, Paul Boucher.
“I would like to thank the members, bargaining committee, and all the staff involved in reaching this collective agreement. VIA Rail workers play a vital role in Canada’s transportation infrastructure. It’s only fitting that their contributions are recognized,” said the national president of Teamsters Canada, François Laporte.
The TCRC represent workers who operate VIA Rail trains.
