Due to government lockdowns across the country, we were unable to print and mail our 2019 annual report to members. We are releasing it on our website instead.
We achieved great things by sticking together and showing solidarity in 2019. We went on strike against CN, a massive billion-dollar corporation. We pressured the government to come up with a trade deal between Canada, the United States and Mexico with stronger labour protections. And our membership grew faster than the country’s economy.
When we originally put this report together in 2019, nothing could have prepared us for the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges ahead of us. In 2020, we’ll have to show even more solidarity and compassion for one another.
