Montréal, June 26, 2019 — Teamsters working at GT and SGT 2000 Inc., all members of Teamsters Local Union 106, have just ratified two new collective agreements.
GT
At GT, approximately 40 truck drivers have ratified a new five-year collective agreement. Improvements include a guaranteed minimum rate of $21 per hour, and as much as $32 per hour for drivers paid by the job.
SGT 2000 Inc.
The 239 workers at SGT 2000 Inc. will enjoy substantial pay increases thanks to an hourly rate hike from $16.40 to $20.39, and additional adjustments in subsequent years. The mileage rate has also increased from 38.5 cents per mile to 44.5 cents per mile.
These are major improvements.
The new collective agreement came into force in March 2019 and will expire after five years.
