Yesterday’s exceptionally barbaric attacks in France have shocked us all. Such acts of violence should never occur in a modern, open and civilized society.
As the representative of Canada’s over 120 000 Teamsters, I would like to offer our sincerest condolences to the French people and to offer France our full support and solidarity.
Martin Luther King said that “darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.”
That is what I hope for our French compatriots.
