This year’s Canada Day celebrations will take a particular turn given the pandemic. We are not yet out of the woods. While provinces are reopening, we must all avoid large gatherings and continue to be vigilant.

Teamsters Canada represents 125,000 members in all industries across the country. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, with which Teamsters Canada is affiliated, represents 1.4 million workers in North America.

Moreover, it’s important to remain alert near tracks: trains can pass at any time, are quieter than ever, and can take kilometres to come to a full stop. Using train tracks as a shortcut, recreational path, or photoshoot location could result in serious injuries or death.
