Effective February 15, 2021, travellers entering Canada through a land border will need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test before arrival.
Truck drivers, couriers, railroaders and all other transportation workers are exempt from this new testing requirement. You also remain exempt from quarantine requirements. Ottawa has assured us that your status as essential workers will be honoured.
We ask that you continue to follow all the public health measures. Please wash your hands often, observe physical distancing, and wear a mask. If you feel any symptoms, get tested. The safety of our workplaces and our communities depend on it.
Canada depends on transportation workers like you to bring everything from food to medication into this country. This country owes you a debt of gratitude for your service during these trying times.
