Halifax NS, September 24th 2015 — A tentative agreement between the Teamsters and United Parcel Service was reached after four months of negotiations.

The members will be receiving the details of the agreement through town hall meetings. Thereafter, they’ll be asked to ratify the agreement through online and telephone voting. The Negotiating Committee is recommending  that members accept the agreement.

The Teamsters represent about 7000 workers at UPS in Canada.

The Teamsters represent 120 000 members in Canada in all industries. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, with which Teamsters Canada is affiliated, has 1.4 million members in North America.
