Sisters, Brothers,

I am pleased to announce that Teamsters Canada is officially launching the “Teamsters Stories” podcast. This initiative addresses the challenges workers face and the solutions their union provides.

In our first episode, we look at what happened in the derailment in Field, British Columbia, where three of our members lost their lives.

This episode is just the beginning of a more ambitious series. For example, the organizing campaign at Amazon, issues in the transportation industry, major Teamsters Union battles, and the history of our union are all topics that will be covered in this series of programs, each lasting about 20 minutes.

In closing, I would like to thank all the people who participated in this important project. Their testimonies allow us to reflect and act in the best interest of the community. In addition, the answers we find to today’s important union questions will most likely be useful to unionists who will be defending the interests of our members in the coming years and decades.

I invite you to share this podcast with your brothers, sisters, relatives and friends and to submit your ideas for future episodes.

Happy listening!
