The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for the annual Essay Contest. Winners of the Essay Contest will receive a one-time grant of $1,000.
The topic of this year’s contest is: “What Has Living In A Teamster Household Meant To Me And My Siblings?”
Separate from the annual scholarship for high school students, the James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund Essay Contest will award the one-time prize annually to 200 students. All applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be the son, daughter or financial dependent of a Teamster member;
- Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate college, university or community college program, or a technical or vocational program, and;
- Be 23 years old or younger by June 15, 2016.
All applicants must use the Essay Contest application and return it, along with their essay by June 15, 2016. The application form can be downloaded here.
