Labour Minister Jean-Pierre Blackburn introduced Bill C-40 to provide an entitlement to a leave of absence from employment for members of the Reserve Force while serving our nation at home and abroad.
Seniority will continue to accrue while Reservists are on service, and vacation time will be deferred. The Act would prevent employers from discriminating against employees on the basis that they are members of the reserve force.
