In the article Trade Liberalization and Inequality in Canada in the 1990s by Daniel Schwanen from The Review of Economic Performance and Social Progress (IRPP), 2001, p. 161-182, the IRPP economist concluded that NAFTA had contributed to the rise in inequalities in Canada, benefiting skilled labour at the expense of less-skilled labour.
