In New Brunswick and PEI, Teamsters Local Union 927 is fighting to make sure every armoured car guard works with a partner. This is about protecting lives, and making sure people come home safely after their shifts.

But with the collective agreement at GardaWorld up for renewal, the company is refusing to agree with crewing language to ensure armoured car guards always have a partner moving forward.

In response, workers went on strike at 4 p.m. yesterday.

Teamsters Canada stands in solidarity with all those who demand that safety come before profits!

The union is also reminding its members working as armoured car guards to remain cautious and vigilant at all times.
