Today is a day to rest, recharge, and remember what this day means to workers. The rights we enjoy today were not handed to us on a silver platter. They were won through years of struggle, courage, and sacrifice by workers, including Teamsters, who came before us.
Their blood, sweat and tears secured better wages, safer workplaces, and dignity on the job, but the work is far from over. Many of these struggles continue, and together we remain committed to protecting and advancing the rights of all workers across Canada.
Solidarity is our strength, and when we stand united, workers win!
