Montreal, August 29, 2025 – After months of negotiations, Teamsters Canada members working at UPS have voted to accept the company’s final offer tabled at the end of July.
François Laporte, President of Teamsters Canada, recognized the national bargaining committee for their tireless efforts:
“Our bargaining team worked tirelessly over the past few months to represent and advocate for our members’ best interests. Their dedication and commitment have been exemplary, and we are grateful for their hard work on behalf of all our Canadian members employed at UPS”. Laporte made it clear from day one, “it is our members who will determine the outcome of the vote and the status of the agreement”. Teamsters Canada UPS Members participated in the voting process with record numbers exceeding a 75% participation rate from across Canada.
The new collective agreement effective August 01, 2025, guarantees pay, pension and health and welfare increases over the five-year term. New language enhancements will ensure our work remains protected, and our members are secure in their employment.
As this chapter closes, the union is focused on enforcing the terms of the new agreement and ensuring that UPS lives up to its commitments to our members who keep their Canadian operations running.
Teamsters Canada remains dedicated to diligently representing its members at UPS, whose daily work is vital to Canada’s supply chains and most importantly, the national economy. Moving forward, Teamsters Canada will continue to stand with UPS workers to ensure the gains of this collective agreement are strictly enforced to the benefit of our members over the next five years.
At over 135,000 members, Teamsters Canada is the country’s largest transportation and supply chain union. It is also the largest union in the federally regulated private sector. They are affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, which represents over 1.3 million workers in North America.
