Oshawa, ON, July 21, 2025 — Workers at Canada Cartage in Oshawa are back on the job today after a weeklong strike.
On Friday, members voted 91% to ratify a new collective agreement that includes a 9% wage increase over three years, retroactive to May 1, higher mileage rates, improved clothing and boot allowances, and more.
The employees, represented by Teamsters Local Union 938, handle specialized warehousing, logistics, and installations for a range of high-profile clients. Their duties include storing and transporting Bell telecommunications equipment, Telus store displays and kiosks, and McDonald’s Canada food service equipment. They also install bank machines, manage high-value product logistics, and provide seasonal storage for clients like Scarborough Town Centre.
Congratulations to the members, the bargaining committee, and Local Union 938!
