Rick \u00e9tait officier principal de la Section locale 979, au Manitoba, ainsi que secr\u00e9taire-archiviste de Teamsters Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sa carri\u00e8re au sein du mouvement syndical a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par un engagement profond envers nos membres. Il a commenc\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re comme camionneur pour Motorways, o\u00f9 il a agi comme d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9 syndical. En 1990, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 embauch\u00e9 comme agent d&rsquo;affaires \u00e0 temps plein pour sa section locale. En 1994, il est devenu secr\u00e9taire-tr\u00e9sorier et officier principal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On se souviendra de lui pour son d\u00e9sir d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la vie des travailleurs manitobains. Rick a \u00e9galement jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le essentiel dans la revitalisation des finances de sa section locale, la transformant d&rsquo;une entit\u00e9 lourdement endett\u00e9e en une organisation prosp\u00e8re disposant des ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour servir efficacement ses membres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au nom de tous les Teamsters du Canada, je souhaite transmettre mes plus sinc\u00e8res condol\u00e9ances \u00e0 ses proches.
