Christmas is upon us. It’s a favourite time of year for many, filled with celebration and cheer. I would like to salute our members and all transportation workers, many of whom had to work long hours over past few weeks to meet the demands of their employers during this busy season…

Teamsters Canada fully supports the actions the Trudeau Government today announced in retaliation to the Trump tariffs. These measures are a righteous defence of Canadian workers, industries, and jobs. Should the U.S. not change course, we would encourage the government to explore other retaliatory options, like expropriating American pharmaceutical patents and other intellectual property...

Every day we get up and expect to go to work and come home to our families and loved ones. Indeed, coming home safe and sound is both a routine and a right that all workers have. Sadly, we know that things aren’t always so simple.

I am honoured to grant Teamsters Canada and its members the “2017 Thanks a Million” award for raising over $1 million in support of the community work carried out by Centraide/United Way.

International Women’s Day is an opportunity for Teamsters Canada to reiterate its commitment and support not only to Teamster women but to women across Canada and around the world.

Teamsters are disappointed that the new food guide minimizes the role of milk products. Milk and dairy products can be a healthy part of any diet. Moreover, the evidence that went into the new food guide comes disproportionately from U.S. government dietary guidelines, which have been deemed to “lack scientific rigour” by the National Academies of Science.
