Teamsters Request Coroner’s Inquest into Death of Conductor

The Teamsters have written to the Chief Medical Examiner of Manitoba to request a coroner’s inquest into a September 15 derailment near Ponton, MB that killed a conductor and left a locomotive engineer with life altering injuries.

Inkas Armoured Car Guards Threaten Strike Action

Approximately 80 armoured car guards at Inkas Security Group in Toronto could go on strike at 12:01 p.m. on Monday, October 30. Workers gave Teamsters Local Union 419 an 89% strike mandate last week. Safety is the biggest issue for the union, along with wages and working conditions.
