Brothers and Sisters:
Negotiations have been scheduled to resume March 21st through March 25th, and will be attended by the mediator from the Federal mediation and conciliation services (FMCS).
These meetings will be with the entire negotiating committee meeting face to face. The location is still to be determined with planning around accommodation restrictions.
Illnesses, hospitalizations and deaths remain at unprecedented levels, but all indicators are pointed in the right direction for a safe resumption to the large-scale meetings required to properly conduct these negotiations.
A reminder that although our collective agreement expired December 31st the contract remains in full force and effect until a settlement is reached or a strike or lockout occurs.
With solidarity will come a good contract.
