Close to 25 workers at the Forensic Services and Corner Centre (FSCC) in Toronto have gone on strike. They are seeking better wages, an end to favoritism in the workplace and more respect from management.

“We require sufficient fatigue countermeasures to protect our members safety and health. An effective fatigue management system requires that our members must be in control of their ability to obtain sufficient rest, and the employer must respect the rest provisions within the Collective Agreement.”

Since a recent meeting held between the parties, the union arrived at the conclusion that the rail carrier has no intention of abiding by the current collective agreement, namely with respect to fatigue management.
