Once again, the Teamsters have shown leadership benefitting men and women workers in the transportation industry. The Union has successfully concluded bargaining for an enhanced collective agreement that is already considered a model in Quebec’s trucking industry.

Better service contracts at Robert Transport

For class 1 and class 2 drivers, as well as other members of Teamsters Local Union 106 at Robert Transport, service contracts have been substantially improved. With widescale bargaining is set to begin in the fall, the union and management have already signed letters of agreement. It pays to be a Teamster!

First Contract at Intersco

Workers at school bus company Intersco ratified their first collective agreement yesterday. The agreement stands to significantly improve their working conditions. Teamsters Local Union 106 represents employees at the Verchères, QC company which covers the Commission scolaire des Patriotes school board.

Solutions to problems in CHSLDs and private retirement homes

A provincial decree to impose common working conditions in residential and long-term care centres (CHSLDs) and private retirement homes has become inescapable. That is the conclusion reached by the Teamsters Union, which has the support of Québec solidaire and Parti québécois opposition critics Catherine Dorion and Harold Lebel.

Tentative Agreement at Autobus DL

A tentative agreement has been reached between the Teamsters and managers at Autobus DL. The company’s 30 school bus drivers are members of Teamsters Local Union 106.
